We wanted a couch with a pullout bed, but we decided to go with this instead. I love the look and style. Putting it together was pretty easy although the instructions were not that easy to follow. It was pretty obvious where most of the parts were supposed to go. I purchased two standard size (non-pillow top) mattresses to go with the bed as suggested, but I am thinking of replacing the top mattress with a pillow top because I would like for it to sit a bit higher on the top. The bottom mattress fits perfectly and there is a small gap, but it's just enough of a gap to fit a pillow and blanket. Also the trundle does not have a guide to keep it from sliding all over on hard floor surfaces. But these are just minor things..
