The color and finish are uniform and pleasing to the eye and smooth to touch. I added a feminine glass drawer knob to replace the metal one with which it was sent and personalized the style a bit.I lost the drawer glide the last piece of the desk assembly and Customer Service shipped me a replacement in two days!
